#73: 8 ways to improve your career for FREE.
I'm going all-in here.
I never set out to write newsletters, as I don’t like the term. If I send out a ‘newsletter’ I think I’ve got to write, well, some news.
As it happens for a change, I do need to actually write some news.
And I’m going to bring it to you via the medium of numbered lists.
If you’ve been reading this for a while, you’ll know I usually add hyperlinks to other stuff I’m doing, like I did just there—tempting you all subtle-like to have a look.
But not this time. This is gonna be an update on things I’m doing and places you can find my increasingly large volume of content to help you enjoy a more fulfilled career for FREE. Then I’ll tell you about how to work with me 1-1 too.

If you’re not following me then frankly you’re missing all the freshest advice and ideas in the shortest form. I write there daily.
I’ve not written one for five years and I’ve decided to do more of them. They may be shorter form than these Substack ones usually are. I dunno, it’s early days. But take a look at this first one.
CV template and content guide.
Yep - It’s been paywalled for too long, along with those of other CV writers. So I thought I’d make it free. If you need one, go get it.
When my 17-year-old daughter said she needed a CV, I thought I should probably help her. Then I turned it into a free guide to help the teens in your world, too.
My YouTube videos. I am building a collection of videos to help you nail your career. Like this one to help you tidy the dates on your CV, and this one to help you do so SO much better in interviews.

So all that stuff above—that’s FREE content that WORKS. It really does.
Consume all that to your heart’s content. I’d do the same. For a while.
But at some point, you need to ask yourself how quickly you want to get a new job? Is it worth all the personal time and investment of doing it yourself versus paying me to work with you 1-1?
